Rabbi Ovadia Tank met with the White House Department of Faith Leaders tonight to pray for Israel and launch a worldwide campaign.

The WJC (World Jewish Confederation) established an emergency campaign to help rebuild Israel after the Hamas attacks: THE CHAI (LIFE) PROJECTThe word “Chai” in Hebrew means “alive” or “life” which symbolizes the number 18.

The Hebrew alphabet is the building blocks of the universe. So somehow anything that equals 18 has a connection to Chai/Life.

This teaches us that we should have “Kavanah” (good intention/meaning) when we pray or make charitable offerings. Then we can donate to-Chai (Life). Then we can transform hate into love, and through Teshuvah (Repentance) we can transform sin (which is mortal) into life. Charity is a biblical commandment. One of the 613 Mitzvot (Commandments) contained in the Pentateuch.

In this prophetic moment, we are chosen to be the catalyst of transformation, the guardians of righteousness, and the champions of justice. With faith as our shield and purpose as our sword, we embark on this sacred journey. Rise up, be strong, for we are the instruments of G-d’s divine plan.

Your Tzedaka (Act of justice) “donation”, besides being very important, brings hope and light into someone’s life and will certainly bring many Brachot (Blessings) to your life, as it is written: I will bless the one who blesses you. Gen.12:3
